Along with airing your tires, lubricating your chain is the most important bit of regular maintenance you can do on your bike. Chain lube will make your ride much smoother and more enjoyable while helping to slow down chain and drivetrain wear. During the winter/spring months lubrication becomes more vital because of the snow and rain that will rinse away any oil on your chain.
